As Editor in Chief of Live Happy magazine, Karol DeWulf Nickell is responsible for the creative vision, development and editorial direction of the content of the magazine. Karol joins the Live Happy team with more than 30 years of experience as a marketing executive, creative manager, communication and branding expert and nonprofit leader.
Karol served as the Vice President, Editor in Chief of Better Homes and Gardens from 2001 to 2006. She successfully launched many magazines and consumer publications while at the company; she is the founding Editor in Chief of Traditional Home and served on the launch team of Country Home.
From 2004 to 2010, Karol was also involved with the United Way, serving as director and treasurer on the national board, co-chairing the National Community Leaders Conference, and chairing the Finance and Membership Compliance Committees.
Karol received a B.S. from Iowa State University, a degree in financial management from Wharton, and an MBA from Iowa State University.
